By accessing and using this Portal, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including all policies mentioned hereunder. These terms and conditions apply to your use of this website, including any orders that you place on www.meem.mu . Please read these terms carefully before using this website. Using this website indicates that you fully accept these terms regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us. Please understand that if you do not accept these terms and conditions, you will not be able to order any products from our website. We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions in the future without any prior notice. Any changes will be posted to the site and will take effect immediately. 

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in compliance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius.

Copyright and all intellectual property rights in all materials, texts, drawings, graphics, logos, icons and any data made available on this website (collectively "the materials") are owned by Meem. Any unauthorised copying, reproduction, retransmission, distribution, dissemination, sale, publication, broadcast or other circulation or exploitation of such material or any component thereof will constitute an infringement of such copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may only use the materials or any component thereof for your information purposes or for the purposes of ordering products from Meem.

Supply of goods

Meem may terminate or suspend the supply of any goods displayed on the website in the event of being out of stock, for support or maintenance work, in order to update content or for any other reason. Meem may do this at any time and without prior notice.

 Pricing information

Our products are sold at the price advertised on the website at the time of your order. We reserve the right to change the prices at any time, prior to the confirmation of your order. All prices are listed in Mauritian Rupees and inclusive of VAT. Pricing for products may be different from prices available in Meem stores.

Offers are intended solely for consumers with a delivery address within Mauritius. For shoppers wishing for delivery outside Mauritius, they will be asked to contact us by mail via meem@intnet.mu for a separate quote.

Please note that purchases made on www.meem.mu shall not qualify for our loyalty card program.

Order acceptance and billing

The customer must be a registered customer to be able to make online purchases and payments. Payment for products shall be made in local currency (Mauritian Rupee). Online payment can be made using: MasterCard, VISA Card, American Express Card. By confirming your purchase at the end of the checkout process, you agree to accept and pay for the item(s). 

Invoice

An e-mail confirmation followed by an invoice of the transaction, will be sent to the customer‘s e-mail account as his/her order is processed. The customer can view order history of his account at any point of time by logging on www.meem.mu and clicking “My Account”.

By submitting your order, identity number and payment card details you warrant that you are authorised to make payment with the payment card and that there are sufficient funds available to pay for the order.

Registration

Prior to any online purchase, you will be requested to register your details online in order to initiate any order. Customers will need to provide a valid e-mail address and a password to process their registration for a user account on www.meem.mu. This e-mail address will be used for identification purposes and for sending notifications and electronic receipts.

Security 

The customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of and restricting access to his account and password. The customer agrees to accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under his account and/or through the use of his password.   

Consumer data privacy policy

We share your name, delivery address and phone number with service providers that help us with our business activities, including delivery contractors. We require our service providers to keep your personal information secure. We do not allow our service providers to use or share your personal information for any purpose other than providing services on our behalf.  

www.meem.mu implements security measures to protect personal information of the customers during creation of account. All information pertaining to any transaction on the Portal is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol before transmission. This Portal secures the Customer’s private information using a SSL Certificate. The customer’s credit card details are not stored in the database of meem.mu. WE DO NOT ENCRYPT ANY DATA OF YOUR CREDIT CARD OR CREDIT NUMBER; ALL IS SECURED AND ENCRYPTED BY OUR PAYMENT GATEWAY BANK (Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd).  You will not be asked for your credit card details whilst on this site. When you are ready to pay you will be redirected to the secure MCB Payment Gateway.

 

Delivery & Delivery Cost

Delivery is made within Mauritius only, excluding Rodrigues and other Outer Islands. However, shoppers wishing for delivery outside Mauritius may contact us by mail via meem@intnet.mu and we will consider the sale under a separate quote. To ensure fast and safe delivery, the customer must properly fill the delivery address, the mobile number and any specific instructions in the fields provided online. All orders shall qualify for door-to-door deliveries. For purchases amounting to a total below or equal to Rs 999.00 a delivery cost of Rs 100.00 shall be incurred. For purchases amounting to above Rs 999.00 delivery shall be made FREE OF CHARGE.

Customers shall :

•    Receive goods within 3 working days, excluding week-ends.

•    Be contacted on his/her phone number by our delivery agent.

•    Receive goods only at the delivery address given during online purchase on www.meem.mu (no re-routing possible to other addresses).

•    Be asked for their ID card upon receipt of goods to confirm their identity.

•    Be asked to sign a delivery note showing the items delivered. 

In case the customer is not present at the time of delivery, his/her duly authorised representative can collect the goods by presenting the invoice (sent by mail).

Should no-one be in attendance at the time of delivery, the driver will keep the products and leave a notice. You will be contacted to make new arrangements for delivery or collection at one of our shops. We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee for subsequent delivery attempts.

We shall not be responsible if the delivery time exceeds 3 working days in such a case. Should Meem not be in a position to deliver the customer’s orders within the given time-frame (for e.g in case of any force majeure), Meem shall contact the customer as soon as possible & notify him when the delivery of his order shall take place.

We have outsourced all delivery and collection arrangements to third party service providers. Accordingly, we cannot, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for any loss or damage caused by them. Once delivered to the service provider, any responsibility to respect the time frame of delivery is transferred to the concerned party.

 

Cancellation

Orders cannot be cancelled once the payment has been effected by the customer.

 

Returns 

Returns can be made in the following cases:

1)    Product(s) received does not correspond to those on the invoice received by mail

2)    The product has manufacturing defects

Product should be returned unused and in their original packaging. Otherwise the return will not be accepted.

Customers are requested to check and verify the products at the time of delivery and return any product with the driver. They shall be requested to sign a return note.

 

Refund policy

In case we are out-of-stock on an ordered product, a full refund will be issued to the customer. After receipt of the refund, the customer shall indemnify and hold harmless the company or any of its directors and employees.

Further to returns effected under our return policy, refunds shall be considered on a case to case basis.

 

Warranty

Electrical appliances are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
